[Exclusive] InfraVia Capital Partners : "Transforming the status quo through AI"

In an exclusive interview, Vincent Grosgeorge shares how InfraVia Capital Partners integrates Artificial Intelligence into its processes. From curiosity to execution, discover how InfraVia and Eleven Strategy collaborate to turn digital opportunities into tangible outcomes.

1) What does InfraVia Capital Partners do, and what is your role within the firm ?

InfraVia Capital Partners is an independent European private equity firm specialising in infrastructure investments and high growth B2B technology companies. Founded by Vincent Levita and Laetitia Féraud, the firm has raised more than €12 billion in capital and currently manages a diversified investment portfolio.

Within infrastructure, InfraVia focuses on four main areas : digital infrastructure, energy transition, social infrastructure and mobility.

I am part of the asset management team, supporting our portfolio companies throughout their growth journey, with a specific focus on digital challenges.

2) What can you share about InfraVia’s approach to AI ?

At InfraVia, we take a pragmatic approach to digital transformation, which has proven particularly relevant for AI :

  • Curiosity : staying open to new ideas in order to help our portfolio companies identify new opportunities
  • Analysis : conducting in depth assessments of opportunities and challenges to fully understand these topics and remain realistic about what can actually be achieved
  • Execution : supporting portfolio companies in structuring and delivering successful transformation initiatives

Eleven supported us throughout this reflection process.

3) What did the collaboration with Eleven involve ? Why did you choose Eleven for this partnership ?

We initially started with strategic workshops to explore the potential impact of Artificial Intelligence on InfraVia Capital Partners as an investment firm and to identify simple, measurable use cases.

Very quickly, we moved into implementation. Within just a few weeks, our investment teams gained access to a tool called “Georges”, enabling them to rapidly access more information and perform even more informed analyses.

We then quickly expanded Georges’ capabilities across different teams, including document search, clause assessment and concept comparison functionalities. Teams strongly embraced the tool, as this business need driven approach proved particularly relevant in this context.

Beyond that, the Georges proof of concept generated significant interest among our portfolio companies. Several of them identified strong potential for improving operational efficiency, particularly regarding knowledge management and information retrieval challenges.

In collaboration with eleven, we therefore systematised the process of analysing relevant use cases tailored to each portfolio company.

This created a genuinely controlled transformation dynamic across our portfolio : dynamic because it drives transformation and continuous improvement, and controlled because it remains pragmatic, structured and properly governed.

4) What were the most valuable aspects of our collaboration ?

I would highlight three qualities that we particularly appreciated :

  • A dual strategic and technical expertise : understanding business challenges while also being capable of implementing precise solutions, notably thanks to highly relevant past experience
  • A transparent approach regarding what is worth doing, and what should be avoided, within a genuine partnership mindset
  • A very strong level of responsiveness : we operate in a world where it is essential to take the time to think, then move quickly into action. This is one of eleven’s key strengths

5) What are the next steps for InfraVia in the short term ? And what is your medium to long term vision regarding AI, both internally and across the portfolio ?

The equation is quite simple : over the next 12 months, we want to execute and deliver, both within InfraVia Capital Partners and across our portfolio companies, the initiatives we have already identified where business gains are clear and measurable.

We also want to leverage the transformation momentum created by generative AI to identify other relevant opportunities for change. These opportunities will not necessarily involve AI itself, they may also relate to automation or operational efficiency.

Ultimately, transforming the status quo, innovating and optimising are core elements of our approach. Innovating without losing focus.
