The use of data and AI is becoming critical to enhancing operational efficiency in these sectors. On one hand, it enables the optimization of industrial processes (predictive maintenance, planning, quality control); on the other, it strengthens safety and traceability in environments characterized by growing subcontracting and complex value chains. These technologies are helping to accelerate a still incomplete digital transformation, in sectors historically equipped with less modern information systems and software than other industries.
At the same time, the rollout of 5G, combined with the deployment of sensors close to the field (LiDAR, IoT sensors, drones, smart cameras), is opening up new opportunities. It enables the real-time collection and processing of ever-increasing volumes of data, fostering better environmental awareness, faster decision-making, and greater automation of operations; from construction sites to critical infrastructure.
